Junior Development
The Riverside GC continues to develop their Junior program to encourage juniors to the game of golf. Murray Darling Golf Association and Golf Australia Golf Victoria continue to be great support of golf in the Sunraysia and Victoria. Recently the Murray Darling Golf Association supported the Riverside GC with a grant that has been used towards junior golf at Riverside GC. The club has recently esptablished a Junior '18 hole Orange Course' which is rated by Golf Australia and can be played by players with an official handicap. This allows Juniors to play on a course that is designed to be shorter, but allows the player to learn the game of golf. Term 2 'My Golf' clinics are now available you can register here. This is a 5 week clinic run on Sunday mornings. Click on the link for further information or contact Jason Marks (information in the link) for further information. This is limited to 20 participants and has been popular, so book in now. Term 3 & 4 clinics will be available by the end of the week to register for.
Reciprocal Clubs
A list of reciprocal clubs is now available here. Note the list is the best available one we have and that we are in the process of checking it to make sure that it is up to date.
Orange Course
With the development of the Junior program, we saw this as an opportunity to develop a course for their needs. The new ‘Orange’ course is an adaptation for Juniors to play with the course set out through recommendations by Golf Australia. The course is Golf Australia rated and can be used for competition play for everyone. (Look out for them in the upcoming months). Thanks to the Ground staff for this welcomed addition to enhancing our junior program.
